We adopted GH Hollywood Barfly from the Committee in January of 2008. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to give this outstanding mare a good home and active show career. She has returned the favor by excelling in each show we have entered her in.
The mare is a true wonder to be around at the barn. She is very calm, and staff members often give children rides on her. She seems to enjoy it as much as the kids. However, that is just the calm before the storm. When she unloads at a show, she is all business.
When this mare sees a set of three barrels before her, her rider can feel muscles bunching and the feeling of a soon-to-be explosion. And that’s just what happens. Barfly can dig up the dirt like a plow when she’s running the barrels. She’s also a nice reining and cutting horse as well, and her calmness and willingness to please makes her a good halter and western pleasure mare.
